Tulane (3-6) has lost three consecutive, but the Green Wave has defeated Penn State and George Mason. . . . VCU (6-2) hasn't played since last Saturday's 65-57 win over Richmond. . . . This is an opportunity for a big game from VCU center Larry Sanders, who's 6-11. Tulane's tallest starter is 6-7. . . . The Green Wave, a member of Conference USA, is coached by ex-Maryland forward Dave Dickerson, a former assistant at James Madison. . . . This is the 13th meeting between these two former Metro Conference rivals. Tulane leads the series 11-1. The programs haven't met since 2001. . . . VCU is 5-0 at home, but 1-2 on the road. . . . The Green Wave averages 60.8 points, shoots 40.3 percent and gets outrebounded by an average of 8.4 boards
