VCU v Wake Forest In-Game Thread

...Not gonna lie, nervous about this one...mainly because we're supposed to win on their home court.

I think if our guys play VCU basketball, play to their talent level, it should be a good win for the Rams (could/should even be a blowout if that were to happen). That isn't always the case on the road however, especially with this group (see: Western Michigan, 2009).

Let's go boys...time to buckle down and get it done.
 
Never feel too comfortable on the road with this crew, but the opportunity in front of us to win @ an ACC school and have the chance to play two more games against BCS competition should be enough to motivate these Rams.

We goin to the "World's Most Famous Arena"!!!
 
I seriously cant believe this game isnt being televised or webcasted or anything anywhere. I was really geared up for a Mulligans night :(
 
IMO, we need to have a balanced offensive attack. We finally got on in the 2nd with bombing from way outside against Winthrop. But our guards need to also look for the inside just as often....just to keep the opposition honest....and just to learn to get it inside.

One of these games our 3s won't fall...we have to have already prepared for getting it down low. We can't just throw it around the perimeter in the half court....especially if we are having an off or marginal perimeter offense. We have such a good perimeter shooting team that sometimes I think they forget about the inside.

In transition we are pretty good about driving into the paint for the easy basket. But I'm more concerned about when we get into a more half court game. We can't be one dimensional if we want to succeed. And if both Skeen and Veal stay healthy (foul-wise) it should be a no brainer that we do our best to work it inside if at all possible.

This, nothing wrong with taking it inside to the big men for the high percentage bucket

I go to the VCU site and it seems they have hidden the freakin audio link under some highly invisible link or something....pisses me off! They have twenty fine big huge boxes with stuff all over. Where is the big a$$ "Listen to the freakin game" box????

For those who had issues yesterday with the radio feed...you'll need to download the highquality player for the feed to work properly again.

I just tried it and finally can listen in...the low quality player doesn't work anymore.
