We used to have a great rivalry with South Florida, both in the Sun Belt and the Metro conferences. Their biggest attendance at the Sun Dome used to be the game against us. They would try to heckle J.D. to no avail. I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm sure we have a winning over all record against the Bulls.

In the early '80s, USF's Charlie Bradley was the real deal. Great ballplayer. Smooth and great shooter. Michael Brown got the defensive assignment as I recall.

I remember watching a game against them on TV in the early 90's when we were down by about 25 in the 2nd half when Kenny Harris went crazy and we came back and won ................

It was probably that 2/20/93 game (on my birthday no less)

I was at that game with my family. Sat in the first row behind the VCU bench. Man, were those a-hole students from USF stunned. :lol: Their coach, Bobby Paschal, never recovered. Most incredible comeback ever.

I still have a couple articles somewhere on the game from the Tampa newspapers.

See you guys at the Sun Dome for another Ram victory.

Sherron Mills setting big-time screens for the three pointers. Don't need the video to picture it. :lol: That was the season that Kendrick got injured and missed the last several weeks of the season.

In my mind's eye I can picture VRam sitting behind the Ram bench, we're 26 down, his chin is in his hand, a black cloud over his head and probably muttering to himself "F em' F em all." :lol:
 
I have the full game on video tape. Over the years, I must have watched it a dozen times. What a great comeback! Can't wait for the game in Tampa...I'll be making the two hour trek north.

I was a student at VCU at the time. Most of our games were televised via Raycom and broadcast live on one of the major network channels in Richmond. I can't remember which network for sure but I want to think it was ABC?

I have four years worth of VCU games (the Kendrick Warren years) on VHS tape stored in my parents attic. I thought I might like to see them again one day when I'm an old man. :)
