VCURamNation/RRR: Pierria Henry commits to VCU!

With so many recruits seeing the potential to go from VCU to the NBA I wonder if we truly have a 2011 NBA prospect on our team? I know at one point Jamie was on the radar when he was at Wake. Now scouting reports have him listed as wait and see.

Who is our next potential NBA player?

Maybe this diserves it's own thread??

Probably does, but in terms of 2011 the only one I could see is Jamie if he has a huge year for us being the man down low, maybe sneaking in as a 2nd rounder. Joey will make a lot of money in Europe and Ed and Brandon have chances to keep playing as well.

His correct name is P-I-E-R-R-I-A Henry...he's been listed as Pierra, Perry, Pierri-a and all other manner of first names.

The correct name is what is listed in the title of this thread.

I read in one article that Perry is one of his nicknames could explain that one

Yeah he goes by Pierria 'Perry' Henry.

Pierria is an ESPN 92 (#29 SG) and Kasey Wilson is an ESPN 91 (#25 PF). They are the only 2 2011 recruits in the CAA and they are both 90+ recruits and top 30 at their positions according to this service. That's pretty darn spectacular. Shaka and the staff are taking it up to a different level.

Anybody know what's up with this:

SC's injured Henry could miss football

South Charleston two-sport standout Pierria' Henry could miss his senior season in football because of a blood clot that required emergency surgery.

South Charleston two-sport standout Pierria' Henry could miss his senior season in football because of a blood clot that required emergency surgery.

Henry suffered a deep thigh bruise at an AAU basketball event in Columbus, Ohio, two weeks ago, then a second injury to the same leg last week in another AAU event at Pitt, which caused a blood clot.

His recovery is expected to take anywhere from three to six months, which could rule him out for the upcoming football season.

We don't want him playing football anyway.

It's really amazing what Shaka and his staff have done as far as recruiting is concerned. We just keep getting good news after good news.

so do we just start looking at ESPN's top 30 PG's and take a guess as to who's next? :D

Its crazy, I can only imagine how good his recruiting will be if the NBA pipeline continues and we get a deep tournament run

Are you asking me?

You'll just have to guess, but there are a couple of guards VCU is looking at right now.

...and Merc, great point. He's doing this off a freaking CBI post-season trip. What happens when we got to the NCAA's or win a game or two?
