Villa 7 does nothing for VCU except losing our own coach every 3-4 years. VCU benefits because we get to pick the best assistant coaches out there. Our recent hires have been young and very hungry to win. I've seen various articles how we have one of the "BEST Mid-Major" coaching position. heck we are willing to pay a coach more than some "BCS" schools. How about some stability for us once in a while and hire an older coach or put in a SUBSTANTIAL $$ clause in his contract?
We are using ourselves as an advertisement for the Villa 7success. I wonder how many attendees in the consortium has become head coach. I don't know the answer but you don't have to look any further from the school who sponsors it, VCU.
