do you think they were competing for minutes?Alright next man up, Mr Do It All, Inspector Vincent.
Derrick Rose has RETIRED from basketball.
Inevitably, everyone on a roster is competing for minutes.do you think they were competing for minutes?
Rose certainly had an interesting career filled with disappointment and success. It began with him playing lights out for Memphis but because of a SAT scandal their season was vacated. He dealt with injuries throughout his NBA career but still had a long tenure of successes. Rose is a phenomenal guard and he was able to show it.Inevitably, everyone on a roster is competing for minutes.
Rose had himself one heck of a career. I read just now for the foreseeable future, he's lining up gigs doing motivational speaking to kids.
Big props on doing good things with his newly acquired spare time.
Vince is a bit injury prone . He always seems to have a nagging injury going back to his freshman year. However, I hope he overcomes quickly as I believe he needs about 2 plus good years and then he likely gets 10 million plus per year for about 3-4 years guaranteed.https://www.commercialappeal.com/st...-jr-injury-memphis-grizzlies-nba/75411049007/
Vince Williams Jr. had a stress reaction in the upper portion of his left tibia, the team announced on Friday. He will be reevaluated in four weeks.
The injury occurred during a recent training, the Grizzlies said. Memphis will begin preseason training camp on Tuesday at Ensworth High School in Nashville.
This injury is a crucial blow to the Grizzlies and Williams. For the Grizzlies, they're losing one of their most impactful wing defenders. Williams went from starting last season on a two-way contract to earning a four-year deal while guarding the opposing team's best perimeter player and shooting a respectable 37.8% on 3-pointers.
Williams joins forward GG Jackson as Grizzlies players who have suffered injuries that will delay their starts to the upcoming season. Jackson is dealing with a right foot injury that is likely to sideline him until December.
Williams, 24, is entering his third season. He's expected to have a big role as someone who can connect the Grizzlies' offense with his shooting and do the dirty work on defense.
On a positive note, Williams will be reevaluated much sooner than Jackson, which could lead to a swifter return. Based on the four-week timeline, Williams' injury update will come right around the start of the season.
Memphis will begin regular season action on Oct. 23 against the Utah Jazz.
Same with Eric too.Vince is a bit injury prone . He always seems to have a nagging injury going back to his freshman year. However, I hope he overcomes quickly as I believe he needs about 2 plus good years and then he likely gets 10 million plus per year for about 3-4 years guaranteed.
Unlike most, I care more for our guys financial health and their playing careers. Vince needs a game to have 3 years NBA experience granting him a share of pension money. He plays 2 solid years and he gets 8-10 million per for 3-4 years. That sets him and his family up for life.
I am praying for him. FWIW, I think Bri and Tre already qualified. Troy and Larry certainly have as did Gerald before them.
