They didn't realize there was a game since the building looking like a UR game... no noise, only couple thousand people showed up... members of their pep band even left early...

Interesting... The wake coach when asked about tonight's game with VCU said keys for them was to rebound and guard the paint since it looked like VCU was weak in those areas...

If they relied specifically on our stats, the key would be to get us into the paint and force us into fouls since our FT % is horrific, barely making 50%

In all fairness, they drew 7,500+ which would've been close to a sell-out in our building. Unfortunately for them their building holds 14,000+. I assume they'll have a much better crowd tonight.

May have been 7500 seats sold, but there was 5000 butts in seats.

Strong VCU contingent. I'll say they at least had 100 fans, their atmosphere made up for the otherwise-totally empty arena.

I got there around the 17 min mark and thought I was walking into one of those "secret" scrimmages. At least I didnt have to sit in sect 236 like my ticket said. It was cool to hear the guys chatting it up on the bench. Hopefully I can move down tonight too.

Yeah we moved down to our traditional half court seats across from the bench. I really like that viewpoint, even though we missed out on the VCU crowd behind our bench. It was interesting to chat it up with some Wake fans though. They are definitely "concerned" about the game tonight. I hope our guys can get motivated. I will be doing my part to help.
