Congrats to the lady Rams for their 6-0 start in conference and 13-5 record.

I've been going to games since the late 70's and can not remember if the men's and women's basketball teams ever finished first in same year!

well, regardless of the administrivia of where it should be posted, the Lady Rams are kicking butt in conference. Congrats.

Our ladies have been quietly doing their thing w/out Quanitra and recent loss of another talented player. They have a very good coaching staff and will to win but still have a long challanging season ahead of them. One game at a time and best of luck to our lady Rams!

Congrats to the team! I think we will have a better gauge of where we stand after tomorrow when we play @ 5-1 Drexel... our schedule so far has consisted mainly of teams in the bottom half of the conference. We still have 2 games against Drexel, ODU, and JMU left who are currently the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place teams respectively in the CAA. If anyone is interested in going to the Drexel home game on Valentine's Day, I'll practically give away two vouchers good for four tickets. Would hate for them to go to waste!

right
you don't to ruin and nice whinefest by talking about a 1st place undefeated basketball team

Half way through the conference season and the women are tied for FIRST! Two huge games this week. Home against JMU this Thursday. This game will also be televised. Follow this up with ODU in Norfolk on Sunday. If the rams sweep these games, they not only solidy their hold on first, they should move up in the RPI significantly. The women are undefeated at home and look to remain that way. Should be a great game with a good crowd to cheer them on. It would be nice if over a 1000 to 2000 strong would attend. ODU is playing well since starting conference play. However, despite winning these games, several have been close at the TED. This could be the year the VCU women pull off a win at the TED. It would be first. GO RAMS!

2,200 or something was the highest attendance ever for a woman's game. That was last year against ODU. It still looked pretty bad though. A good amount of students showed up though. VCU ODU fans had a "chant off" when the hey song was done by our band.

Watched the game last night and it was painful. Just hope this was one of those nights where nothing goes right no matter what they did to correct it. Missed shots and FTs. They just looked sluggish. ODU is next and that is never easy. ODU barely beat UNCW at Wilmington. If the women can shake this game off and come out firing well, they have a decent chance to get back into the lead. Good luck and GO RAMS!!

The Ladies are back in first place. Tremendous win over the Monarchs. They play Hofstra today at noon. Not sure if they made it with the recent weather, but I have not seen any announcement stating they have not postponed the game. Also, KUDOS to Kita Waller for her second consecutive Player of the Week honors. Keep that Ram train rolling. GO RAMS.
