Welcome Jack Clark!! 6'10" SF from Clemson transfers to VCU!!

He just has to keep doing the other things he does well that helps the team and it looks as if he is doing that very well.

Meanwhile he has to keep taking good open shots. It will work itself out.
career 30% from deep - came to VCU because he would be allowed to fire away from deep in Odom's offense - better perimeter defender than Lawal and rebounds pretty well but not the explosive leaper Tobi is (so what) clemson was not going to give him the same green light odom will to shoot 3s

imo he makes us better than with tobi

I love his game, but, How long will his 3pt drought last? He was 7 for 15 in his first 4 games. But now, he's gone 2 for 24 from behind the line in the last 5 games.

Keep shooting Jack!
He started off hot, I'm sure the shots will start falling again soon enough. But I do still wish we ran him at the 5 every so often to take advantage of having another big body when we run small ball lineups.

Jack is 5-30 from 3 in the last 8 games. That includes a 3-4 game 3 weeks ago. So really, he's 2-26 in the last 7.

We need the guy to rebound and score at the cup. Michael Belle is doing both at a higher clip on lesser minutes. And Belle doesn't jack up threes when he's in the game.

His 7th year in college. He may have peeked. 👺 Anyway, I'm sure its predicated in practice.

Very good observation. Time to play Belle with more minutes if Clarke offense does not improve.

He didn't come here as a great three point shooter, never has been. That he is a threat that has to be considered by defenses is as valuable as making a bunch of them. But he has to make enough to be a threat.
Rammad is right, he is valuable for all the other things he does on the court. He especially provides us with great length that can guard pretty much 1-5.

You might want to check the stats. Belle is 1-9 from three. Clark is also averaging 7.3 ppg vs. Belle's 3.6 ppg. In addition, Clark is averaging a team leading 6.4 rpg vs. Belle's 4.3 rpg. Belle is NOT playing at a "higher clip" than Clark.

Belle is averaging 8.5p and 10.4r per 40 in 17 min a game.

Clark is averaging 11.0p and 9.7r per 40 in 27 min a game. (had the minutes reversed)

Belle's upside is considerable. In his 34th college season, Clark's upside is non-existent.

Not that I am looking to bench Clark or significantly cut is minutes, but he plays 10 minutes a game more than Belle, and Belle is playing at least as well in my view.

Bench Fermin????
If our guards had been coached how to pass he would averaging 25 a game...at least that is what you would have us to believe
My opinion on the guards is the same. However, after witnessing a few more game, I have concluded that Fermin is not the answer inside on either end of the floor.

As many have suggested here, he does drop even catchable balls and provides no post defense or rim protectiom.

Belle doesn't have a post game but he is a decent post defender.

I'm simply suggesting what I think is the beat option amongst slot of bad choices.

Fermin certainly does provide D and rim protection. Maybe not a brick wall but he does.
