Welcome Terrence Hill Jr!!

The reason Hill Jr didn't get more run last year....IMO....is because of his defense. He often got behind him man on the defensive end when they drove by him to the basket or around the screener. Kid can shoot lights out but will need to up his game on defense. But sometimes that may come with more game experience at the college level. But he has such a great shot.
The reason Hill didn’y get much run last season was because he had 5 really good guards in front of him.

I think T. Hill has an opportunity for a real break-out year. The talent is absolutely there. If he will work hard this off season and focus on the defensive side of the ball he could make a big-jump. Really appreciate the fact that he chose to remain a Ram.

"Because Shaka" was the only reason I used to get when asking why certain players were getting no play. So, "Because Odom" is what I'm sticking with.

That is technically true. The coach decides playing time but there are way too many people out there that think coaches are keeping the best players on the bench just out of spite. They might not be perfect but they know and see a heck of a lot more than I do.

I keep seeing people post depth charts with Hill like 4th at point guard. I think they are selling him short. He has a lot of skills, he can score the ball from three and attacking the basket and doesn't mind mixing it up with tough competition. He may not start but he will have a roll, a roll on the court.

I think it’s going to be tough. You dont bring in top a top 60 guy, and a former top 40 guy and have them sit. Getting on the court is going to be all out war next year.

Depending on how heavily PMJ uses the bench, he'll probably settle around 10-12 mpg. He can play, yes, but my biggest critique is that he is severely right hand dominant. I don't remember him scoring a single bucket with his left hand, and even when he dribbled with his left, he was working to get back to his right. This should get exposed when he's not playing garbage time minutes against other teams' bench players, and I believe was part of the reason why he didn't get more minutes this season

Zeb is the same with his left hand, but was a little better this past season.

Yeah but most lefties are and they're wildly good at creating space or getting a good angle to get their shots off with their left no matter what. Harden, Ginobili, Van Exel, D'Angelo Russell, Isaiah Thomas (the younger one) etc. Righties, for whatever reason, can't do that like lefties

Difference with Zeb and THill is Zeb can actually take his man off the dribble with his right. He can't make a right handed layup to save his life, but at least he can put himself in a position to score with his off hand. I haven't seen that from THill yet

These are things that one would assume that coaching staff has noticed, and hopefully will be working on. If we don't start to see him working off of his left hand more often this season and PARTICULARLY next season, it will be safe to assume that it's something he just can't do.

He did make a reverse left hand layup in the UMASS game…..although it is clear he prefers to use the right whenever possible
