Welcome to Alabama Basketball

What did you expect? Is U of Ala. really a stalwart of academia....um no. In fact Grant will use this fact to recruit bigtime players, yet retards. You can't get away with that at VCU, thank god. VCU isn't UVA, Duke or Georgetown, but it is light years farther than U of Ala. when it comes to how much ones diploma is worth.
One of the biggest reasons I love VCU, and am so proud of my alma mater is because the basketball players go to class. In Alabama they are encouraged not too. It takes to much time away from their playbooks. See that sh!tbird Saban...

speaking of VCU academics, ok ok, I admit maybe i'm retarded......

is it 'farther' or 'further' than Alabama?

While I agree with Mercury that this may be an OT Forum discussion, farther "is used in referring to physical distance" while further "is restricted to figurative or abstract senses." It seems as if "farther" is correct. Lesson over--let's get back to VCU basketball!

“Being the state university does give you more options to choose from. That’s one of the differences in being here than you had a VCU.

Have no idea what he's talking about. Did he not know we're a state university? Guess he meant we're not the "University of Virginia" or the "University of Alabama."

Another difference is that, when you are VCU, you are constantly hit with the question (from recruits) of how long you are going to be there. Recruits were always asking if I was going to take the Alabama job, or this job, or that job. We don’t have to face that now.

Could've solved this by not showing interest in vacancies every year he was here.

Grant    Maybe he could've just left VCU out of it. But nooooo, he basically belittled the situation he was in here. I hope he finishes last in the SEC and Eblen is redshirted.

Agree...AG is starting to ascend to that place where I begin to openly loath and actively root against...I like to call it Gary Williams Country :D
