Finally this league gets some respect.

One of the guys during the color for the odu, cleveland state game just said what I have been wanting to hear all year by national media. He said the Colonial is deserving of "at least 3 bids".

This guy stated he watched VCU get dismantled by GMU and then come back and beat Wichita, and now ODU is dismantling Cleveland State. He then said the Colonial deserves at least 3 bids.

They also displayed a graphic that showed us at 4-1 in TV games. The games that count.

Also said we deserve a shot.

By the way if it was Darius James who made a disparaging tweet towards Joey after the VCU odu game, Joey was correct Darius James is mediocre at best. He turned the ball over a few times down the stretch. We are lucky to have Joey running the point.

Now if only VCU can win at least the next 5. Next 6 would be better.
 
It is what we all knew it was, and that is the toughest conference outside the big 6. I would argue better than some big 6.

Our top 6 are on par with the top 6 from the Pac-10 and probably better than the top 6 from the SEC West.

Agreed. Let's just hope this well deserved buzz helps.
 
wasn't that the broadcast where the one guy said "Do you think we could call the CAA the"Big East of the mid majors"??...... :lol:

that gave me a chuckle, but certainly good to see the Association repping well this year.
 
the press was nice, but wasn't his slobbering a little bit of overkill after a while? we all know the CAA is very strong this year, but that guy was going on and on so much it almost seemed like he was mocking the conference after a while.

shouldn't complain though. any talk about the conference is a good thing. but man, that guy was something else!
 
Talk is cheap. We need to win out our last two games and at least make it to the finals to even have a shot at the dance. Even then I suspect our at-large would go to a big six mediocre team rather than a 26-8 VCU team.

And with our luck with the NIT selection committee, I can see them not selecting us and coming up with some BS excuse like, "Oh sorry about that. We forgot you were a D1 team and left you out of our selection pool. Unfortunately there isn't anything we can do about it now. Good luck next year."
