Their seats were about to be swallowed up by standing room only people, students (I am guessing) had to be asked to step back and clear a viewing space for them. You could not have possibly fit another human body in there last night.Pretty awesome that Dave went to the game with him.
I'm optimistic, but until he suits up in college, it's too early to say either side was rightYou just can't admit that you might been wrong.
I don't think his demeanor can be emphasized enough! I was sitting at half court next to some of this family/friends, and his expression didn't change a bit the whole game (until the final buzzer sounded of course lol). JM was picking him up 3/4 court, blitzing him off PnR, face guarding him in the half court when he didn't have the ball, etc. They were zeroing in on him, for obvious reasons, and it didn't seem to bother him at all. Really only forced 2-3 shots, which is pretty commendable for a star HS player in a big time game like that. Calm, cool, collected and made winning plays in crunch time. Also he's a HEAVY communicator on the defensive end. Agreed we got a solid player.Really good to see Brandon have a dominating performance on both sides of the ball against such a high caliber team/program. I think he is going to bring a toughness that this team really needs. Much of that comes from his playing football(WR,CB,S) over the years. On the defensive side of the ball his 7'2" wingspan does not hurt either. It's producing a lot of steals and blocks as well as rebounds. His calm demeanor and willingness to step-up and make big plays are impressive. He is really on the rise. While it's early it looks like we got a good one.

Side note: I got to give Redd Thompson his props too. He ran the PnR better than the overwhelming majority of HS PG's. Patient and took what the defense gave him. JMU is getting a steal
St Chris wins, BJ has 26 pts, first win for what is their conference play. The announcer said he cleared the 1000 point mark in his 3 years there with The SaintsTIGHT ASSED GAME ONCE AGAIN, LAST SECOND STEAL from Brandon Jennings maybe his fourth game steal,, he's a last minute playmaker getting the job done! 21 secs left StC up by 3.
I have not seen Jennings play, but with Zeb and Shulga potentially graduating and moving on next year (i.e. not taking their COVID years) that would leave Nelson as our only point guard. With Nelson being a redshirt junior next year, the timing would be excellent for a freshman point guard to come in.So, are we looking at Brandon Jennings as a possible PG option? Or will he end up more of a combo guard at the D1 level?
