Welcome to VCU, Lazar Djokovic!

John Cerqueira
Dylan Sheehy-Guiseppi
Teddy Okereafor

Rams have had mixed success with "5's" from eastern Europe in the past ...

L.F. Likholitov
Konstantin Pepeliaev
Eugene Kissourine
Denis Orlov

While you won't find this history anywhere, Pepeliaev is the VCU's all-time leader in vowels (later coached locally at Trinity Episcopal)

I love Art Bell (RIP) so of course I think of Bob Lazar. Maybe Djokovic is a fan as well and will put his first name on the back of his jersey and ask for number 51. I would buy that jersey!

Eugene Kissourine. More vowels than Konstantin Pepeliaev. Probably more fouls too.

A bunch of these guys seem to be really putting in the time and work getting ready to bring the fight to those crazy enough to face us this season. Lazar is one of them:

Keep this page here for long enough and he's doing these squats for hours.

I think Lazar has an opportunity to be a real hand-full down on the block. This is about the time in a typical bigs career where they really take off. Hopefully that will hold true with Lazar.
He is going to be the most skilled big since Reddic

His offense looks promising, but can he play defense.
I checked the highlights on line and based on those apparently not. His team had no defensive possessions

From frosh to soph year be went from about 3 rpg to 6 rpg (OR 2, DR 4). He was also getting about 1.1 bpg. Most highlights don't really show defensive plays. Probably have to watch a few of his previous games. I also don't know if he played the center position or more of a forward, guarding on the perimeter.
