Could have been an altitude thing?Nonsense? I saw him use an inhaler before the game, with my eyes, courtside—that is a fact.

Dude is 21 He isnt a typical soph. Ferm is 22.Time will tell with respect to his passing skills but looking at his stat line in the FIBA U19 World Cup he averaged 3.1 assists. Also averaged 14.9 points, 7.3 boards, and 1 steal. He really filled the stat sheet. This was over a span of 7-games which usually feature pretty good competition. He was regarded as a top 10 International prospect. What I see is a talented but developing big man. Likely just coming into his own. Just a sophmore. Patience is almost always a prerequisite with respect to bigs. Excited to have Lazar join Ramnation.
Lazar will be a junior ( or at least in his third year of playing in college) and ferm a senior (not sure I understand the point - would expect one year differnce)Dude is 21 He isnt a typical soph. Ferm is 22.
especially one who is still growing into an enormous bodyI mean, the guy was a freshman. I don't think it's unusual for a freshman to have to take time to adjust to the college game and not have NCAA level stamina.
I believe DJ Haley had the same problem. At the NCAAT game, I saw him using an inhaler during warm-ups, he may have asthma or something….
I don't know. PMJ is bringing in two frontcourt players from Bryant in addition to Lazar. He has no prior history with Ferm and except for his two former players PMJ will be looking at everybody with a clean slate. I see Ferm being our experienced big coming off the bench. Heck, he was replaced by a freshman in the starting lineup last season. I just don't see Ferm entering his senior season adding anything significant to his game over the off-season (though anything is possible).Odom mentioned it during some of his pressers. It was about having to sub Luke out because of stamina issue as a new college player. But he seemed to build his stamina as the season developed.
Regarding Lazar, he will play with Ferm this year and then be the top dog the following year on the team (if he desires). Ferm will graduate next spring. (although he could be a starter this year....but basically next year he will BE out center. we will have to find his teammate through the portal.
Are we forgetting the game was played at altitude? Did we see him using it any other time? Might be the elevationNonsense? I saw him use an inhaler before the game, with my eyes, courtside—that is a fact.
Also, Chris Mack was not fired at Xavier. He left Xavier to take the Louisville job. He was fired at Louisville and then sat out of coaching for a least one year before taking the Charleston job.Not sure I'm following you. He played for Sean Miller his freshman year at Xavier and the next year transferred as a sophomore to Charleston to play for Chris Mack when he got the job at Charleston.
Using an inhaler doesn't have anything to do with endurance issues... the dude could just have asthma. lol. Not saying Luke does or doesn't have poor endurance, I never really paid attention to that.Nonsense? I saw him use an inhaler before the game, with my eyes, courtside—that is a fact.
Welcome Laz. Agree with others hoping it’s true Belle will be in fold and a good chance of Zeb as well.
Good luck to Luke if he moves on.
Honestly, I’m hoping we don’t fill #14 and #15. Not enough minutes to go around with the talent coach and staff have already assembled.
Very nice job to say the least!
Some very good coaches came up through the ranks of equipment managers etc. You see a lot of the game there and experience a lot of what it takes to run a program.Agreed....#14/15 should be walk-on spots for young guy who wanna get into coaching. Gotta start somewhere and there's no better place to hone your craft than IN the trenches. I always found it interesting/odd that Will Wade never played organized ball at all in his life/career...not even in HS.
Correction: Ferm will be playing with Lazar and Keyshawn lol he needs to be coming off the benchOdom mentioned it during some of his pressers. It was about having to sub Luke out because of stamina issue as a new college player. But he seemed to build his stamina as the season developed.

That's how it washed out last year and I think that's how it will wash out this year too. Ferm is probably more valuable coming off the bench.Correction: Ferm will be playing with Lazar and Keyshawn lol he needs to be coming off the bench
