Welcome to VCU Luke Bamgboye

Athletic guys who can block shots are usually helpful right away.

Yea, we saw that with Larry Sanders and Justin Tuoyo and Tobi....offensively raw, wildly athletic, height and wingspan at an elite level, not very "thick"....If this were 5 years ago?? I'd be dancing non stop jigs around my house because the potential is there, just needs time and some summer Roose-i-fications....Nowadays?? I'd love to see 2 years from him.

regardless, he's a Ram and that's pretty awesome!

Ren Watson
I remember seeing him play... I'm pretty sure it was in the old Franklin Street Gym...

As for the other half of the Bam Gang (Bam Brothers?), now that I have seen his signing in the Richmond Times Distort, I finally believe that it is happening...

Ren was terrific. I don't think a lot of Ram fans under 55-60 realize how truly great he was.

I think that every Ram fan kinda knows of Ren Watson... He kinda the one Iconic player who people who may have never seen know about... That speaks volumes about his skills... All I remember is that back then there weren't the number of really tall players and he stood out because of his height... What was he??? 6'9"??? But over the years there were quite a number of VCU players who stood out because of their play... Who remembers Danny Kotak (sp)... The guy made the most literally impossible shots... And then there were players who just had cool names like Buffalo Carmack (sp)... Never mind... Just got a little nostalgic... But who knows... Luke may one day be "da man" who people remember from is early days as a Ram??? That would be nice...

Does Watson still work for VCU Police? Wasn't he a VCU Police LT.?

It's a little early to be calling Luke the next "Ren Watson". First, he has to displace Christian Fermin in the starting lineup.
Who called him the next Ren Watson? Raking leaves again?
