As far as CAAZone is concerned.
1. The graphics are mundane and unappealing.
2. There are very few posters that have anything legitimate to say to us or about us. Seahawk Nation 08 being one of them. Otherwise there is about as much useful and interesting information over there as episode of "I Carly".
3. The trolls are still there and it's not just that idiot T-Mac.
4. The vitriol spewed and misinformation about us, about our program and about our players is enough to make any VCU fan take pause.
5. There is very little discourse and open and honest exchanging of ideas and information. EVERY thread ends in a pissing match with names called, insults hurled and ludicrous statements made.
We have a wonderful forum here. I don't like everyone or everything that is said here but it normally is an honest, open and frank exchange of ideas. It is neither the "lovefest" nor boring information that Zone posters said it would be. This website is pretty much the epicenter for all things VCU basketball, the clearing house for all information pertaining to such and the home to a number of erudite, articulate and entertaining posters. The graphics and images are appealing and interesting. Let Razor say whatever he wants to on the Zone, he just needs to keep a civil tongue in his head on these boards and he can pretty much say what he wants.

I think this thread is more part of the problem than it is part of any solution... unless we're intending to give problem behavior more attention and elevate villain status (not unlike, appropriately enough, pro wrasslin theatrics) ...I mean there can be dramatic value in having a good villain
this place is clearly and obviously better than the zone, at least from the perspective of, and for the needs of, VCU fans, and at this point none of us should have to justify preferring here over there... but that mass exodus back in the Spring did involve a fair amount of snit and huff that looked for all the world like pouting
I say thicken thy skins and ignore sniping pot shots ...or, occasionally, fire back if it's part of legitimate back-and-forth... and let whatever moderation there is to be, occur behind the scenes (a secret rendition just makes a problem disappear quietly... just sayin)
