Who Should Scream Next Year?

Now that signing day is past it's time to focus on next year's team. There are many critical decisions that need to be made by the VCU program over the next few months, but none could possibly be bigger than which player gets the honor of performing "The Scream" in next year's opening video.

Joey Rodriguez seems like he should be our "guy" next year and he is supposedly getting the 95 billboard, but I'm not sure if his voice carries over to a good scream like Maynor or Sanders. So I ask you, good people of VCU Ram Nation, who should be the recipient of this great honor?
 
how bout the guy at the bottom of this pic? He looks like he has yelled a time or 2.

How about a nice billboard with the "CBI Champs" on it. :D :lol:

Seriously I think a Multi-shot of Players. EM & LS were special players (NBA)

Jrod is deserving BUT outside of VCU and Ramnation do not think he will get the attention the boards true purpose is for. I think a Panorama shot of a sold out stu busting outside the billboard dimentions is not a bad idea.
 
instead of a player, i think it would be awesome if they did a shot of the crowd and had the students/fans, all dressed in their VCU gold of course, perform "the scream". Who better to show the passion of VCU bball than us.
 
I say they put this picture on a billboard...with the caption, "Get your seats now before they are all taken up! Catch some Ram fever!"

I seriously hope it does not say "all taken up". :roll:
 
I would vote for nobody screaming. I think it's time for a new intro video/song.

It's not that I don't like the current one, but I think it's had a good 2 year run and it's time for a change.

1 1/2 year run, we had a new one for most of the year this year.

didn't we borrow the whole thing from someone else? (Celtics maybe?)


if we're going to keep doing it, I like the idea of switching it up... maybe have 3 versions... a big wide-shot of a gold-out style crowd yelling as mentioned above, one of the whole team doing it as a group, and one of all the seniors doing it montage-style
 
The only candidates for a scream are JRod and Burgess and I'd give the nod to JRod from a celebrity standpoint. We don't have an NBA draft pick on next year's team so the marketing (e.g. the billboard) and other media might change some.

Don't tell that too Reco and/or Juvonte! :) I know getting ahead of myself... Merc started a thread for this kind of talk...
 
over the last couple of seasons there's been complaining about everyone relying too much on one star, or about a star getting too wrapped up in their fame and future, and about how much better it is when everyone buys-in and plays as a whole team...

...so obviously we should just single out an individual player in the video :roll:
 
I have a proposition... We have the video with the slams, threes, crossovers and no look passes. You see highlights of Ed, BRozz, Jamie, JRod, Big Shot, Darius and Troy and in the middle a break and a giant scream... who is screaming?

Jesus Christ himself! Why, b/c it would be awesome :)
 
have Shaka scream for game one, then each player could be taped and whoever had a significant game (POG) the previous game could be featured at the next home game
