While the season is still fresh in everyone's mind I thought a little poll might be in order to see what everyone thought was our best and toughest opponent. We played some really good teams this year.
 
Kansas. I didn't stop worrying until about 10 seconds left. I knew even when they were down nearly 20 they had the fire power to come back.

That is the truth.

I would have to say ODU. We played probably our best defensive game all year against them in Norfolk and they put it all together to beat us in the SC. The CAA finals, wow, now that I have some perspective on it was an incredible game. Their first half was as well as they could play. What a donnybrook and they hit us with a haymaker, literally at one point. The second half we threw everything at them and left it all on the floor. What emotion, what drama, what a well played game. That was college basketball at its finest, although I would not have admitted to that for several days after.
 
darn, you know we played some good squads when UCLA and Richmond didn't even make that list of 10.
 
Wheat, the way the poll is set up it only allows you ten entries. And as for the GFY option all I can say is I'm still sore from my last poll.

All kidding aside, if ODU manages to beat Butler, there is a chance we play them in the Final Four.

I don't see ODU making it as far as Butler did. They don't have the shooters to make any deep tournament run in the NCAAs
 
Florida State by far.

Their defense was the best I saw all year. Their length was ridiculous...it was like playing amongst the California Redwoods they were so long.

They didn't have the shooters, but they were tough enough to hang with any team, and win games by a bucket in the end (which is basically what Butler managed to do).

I don't think they would have gotten past Florida, but I could have easily seen them getting into the Elite 8 before they encountered any problems with their style of play/lack of shooters. They do have guys that can make big shots on any given night. If they were on against Florida then we could have played ODU in the Final Four and marched straight to the National Championship game.
