Its not ridiculous. We have been getting 2 star plus and 3 star plus guys for years. We just made the final 4. Shaka and staff seems well liked by many and now their well paid. It is not out of the realm of reasonableness that we snag at least one 4 star kid next year. If not, then all the hoopla is for naught, recruiting wise.

We all discuss how Jones, and Wade are grade A recruiters. If they both stay we will see.

Oh and by the way College of Charleston, yep College of Charleston, signed the number 9 center and the 57th rated player over all a 6'9" kid out of the Seward School. He was also rated a 95.

Again, this thread isn't ridiculous but reasonable. Heck both Reco and Juvonte were close to being 4 star guys and if they had signed early with Power 6 conferences they most likely would have been rated as 4 star guys.

While snagging Baru was a coup for Charleston, it really was a package deal for his buddy who was only getting D3 offers. Charleston was the only school desperate enough to offer his friend in order to get Baru. Not quite the typical recruiting scenario.

I think the whole star thing is overrated. You recruit players who can play, period. If we can get the 4 and 5-stars, great. I won't be disappointed if we don't though. We've done just fine without them.

are you saying that there's no use getting excited about incoming kids unless they are given a certain number of stars by a flawed rating system? you're kidding, right?

for every "two star" kid who excels and turns into a fantastic player, there's a travis garrison "four star" type who turns out to be soft as a down pillow.

some of you guys put way too much faith into the number of stars next to a kid's name.

Star ratings forplayers are just as bogus as the science of "bracketology" btw, Lunardis next blunder is already out.

2 or 3 star players are automatically bumped up a star when they sign with a bcs school, but not mid-major. I dont mind beating these 5 stars with 2 star players-they reallly cry well forTV don't they?
