Winthrop Game

I believe the Wake-Hampton game is at 7 and the VCU-Winthrop game is afterwords at 9:30. Don't believe it is being televised.

I guess that's not surprising. I just hope I can find a site that updates the score every once in a while.

Can't go wrong with ESPN.com in that case. They update it once before the game and once after. They do have about a 6 hour delay though.

Yikes...........930pm on a Monday night...........half empty arena (maybe worse). No energy. Late start.
No excitement in the building. Reminds of me of the late start in Philly in the 2009 dance. The place cleared out after Villanova.........left us no energy for UCLA. Game started after 10pm. Place was dead!

Kids will need to self-motivate!

no excitement in the building? VCU travels deep. ;)

It was 10? I knew it was late but I didn't think it was that late. I do agree the place cleared out quite a bit after the AU vs VU game(Which American should have won but choked). I do remember quite a few Villanova fans getting behind VCU especially at the end(A good amount of them did the hey song with us). The drunk ones behind us in the lower level were doing "Ra Ra Ram it" chants.. We were right near the band and had the perfect view of Maynor's shot. I still wish that shot went in. :(

Since this is a neutral game will the band be there? If they are I wouldnt worry about excitement

I think Monday night at 930pm will be the biggest factor. I would have loved to have gone, but it's tough when you have surgery at 7am the next morning in Richmond. I'm sure several others aren't traveling as well because of work. I'm not sure how well Winthrop travels, but they only have a 2 hour trip to the game opposed to 4 hours from Richmond.

I disagree about Philly though. The reason the place cleared out was because there were mostly Villanova fans there being that the game was in Philadelphia. They had no interest in watching any other teams play afterwards. I still thought VCU was pretty well represented regardless of the time.

Anyone aware of any audio/video coverage of the game? I assume I'll be able to follow by stat-tracker. Looks like tommorrow nights game can be purchased if VCU survives through Wake Athletics Website.
(Sorry if the answers to the above have been posted elsewhere)
