The CAA is loaded. Old Dominion returns all its starters, led by potential player of the year Gerald Lee.

Northeastern, VCU and James Madison each return four starters.

Granted, VCU's one missing starter is Eric Maynor, the conference player of the year and backup point guard for the Utah Jazz.

George Mason has two starters back and a freshman class that has great potential.

The CAA, top to bottom, is so strong that its coaches are saying this is not a one-bid league. They say the CAA is a two-bid league when the NCAA tournament selection committee gathers to pick the 65-team field.

In fact, some coaches will say the CAA could deserve three bids, maybe even four bids.

Four bids for the CAA? Maybe it's the coaches who should have to undergo drug tests instead of players.

Just kidding.

If you read the whole article, Woody is right in the fact for the CAA to get multiple bids the teams are going to have to come up big in November and December. It looks like the CAA has done a good job of scheduleing good teams out of confrence, now we just need to step up and win them. The article got me pumped up for 11/21/09.

Well, James Madison losing to Ohio State by a score of 72-44 doesn't help the CAA's reputation. Purple bastards.

What else would you expect with Moore out? They could have done a little better, but until Moore is healthy I can't exactly see them being dominant, especially against a team like Ohio State...

Sounds like Georgia State gave NC State a pretty good run for their money on their home floor by the writeup ultimately falling 69-53. Add Rashanti and that might have been a different ballgame.

I watched some of that JMU-OSU game. Semenov was useless out there. He was getting worked all over that court and looked like a child among men. Lauderdale, in Semenov's defense, is a LOT bigger though. They were playing the "live by the three, die by the three" game. Brady should have called a time-out and told them they were only down by 9 or 11 no need to freak out like that. I never had JMU winning but they could have kept that a lot closer in the Buckeyes house. Oh well..

I got to see some highlights of the game on Sportscenter later, as JMU was on the bad end of some of those Top 10 plays.

true, but nc state is going to be just awful this year. i wouldn't be surprised if they're the worst team in the acc.

They are picked to be last. We would slap NC State in the face...last year or this year.
