Work Those Quads! (Net Rank Thread)

Still #37 in the NET today. Dayton also gained a spot and is now #73.

Seton Hall dropped 16 spots so that Q4 loss is pretty much here to stay unless they somehow pull off a miracle (not bloody likely with their remaining schedule).

I go to the official NCAA website to see the rankings, but they don’t show a numerical value for each ranked team. That makes it impossible to know how close in ranking we are to the teams around us. Do you know if there is a site that provides numerical values?

Never would have thought a loss to a Power 6 school could end up being a Q4 loss. SMH.

We brought some of the luck on ourselves but having all of the games we played vs power conference schools being Q4 opportunities is a pretty unfortunate draw.

Yeah. BC wasn't ever going to be very good, but Seton Hall and Miami really dramatically underperformed. Seton Hall wasn't expected to be very good but certainly nowhere near as bad as they are. Most predictions had Miami comfortably in the top half of the ACC. We have not had much luck with the OOC opponents this year, seems like only Colorado State might be playing a little better than expected.

not sure what's crazier....those school's rankings or the fact that South Carolina is 0-9 in the SEC (NET-89) and LSU 1-8 in the SEC (NET-78) are even in the top 100. Great job NCAA, way to build a rubric where you don't show the math

Pretty much. The ACC is uncharacteristically bad this year while the SEC is uncharacteristically good, and those facts are rippling through those conferences - ACC NET rankings are tanking while SEC NET rankings are overinflated.

True. Regardless of their name recognition, you never know how good or bad teams are going to be when you agree to participate in a tournament but that Charleston Classic turned out to be pretty mediocre. Even the good teams didn't present resume altering opportunities for a mid-major.

Couple that with our awful OOC schedule it's ends up being a challenging recipe to overcome.
