Wreaking Havoc

If you're not going to out-rebound the other team, you better make sure you don't turn the ball over.

I'm sorry, I must have missed something.....how much did we lose by last night? Our season surely must be over now....

The wreaking havoc was more of a publicity grab/promotional tool than anything else. If it was advertised as Nolan Richardson's 40 mins of heck, or a style comparable to what former UAB coach Mike Anderson runs, it was false advertising. For me, the "wreaking havoc" is not much different from the "94 feet both ways" we saw previously

To be fair, the coach has said recently that they wouldnt be conditioned and ready to press as much this eyar as they plan on doing next year. So with that in mind, perhaps we can lengthier stretches of havoc next season. The 'havoc" has been fantastic in small doses. To see it over a prolonged stretch would be fantastic. It's awfully tough on the opposition.

I really liked when we did something of a "attack zone" different times this year. Teams sat back passing thinking VCU would stay back and sudden VCU does a trap and forces a turnover or timeout.

Might be cool to see wrecking havoc and this attack zone nice season also. I know Shaka prefers man to man but some interesting versions of the zone worked pretty well this year.

I hope next year when we "Wreak Havoc" that it will mean we have less turnovers than the other team. VCU had 17 turnovers last night to 13 for GWU. I think in the last 5 games, only once did we have less TOs then our opponent.

Like I said before, we just reek when it comes to team defense.

In the last five games we turned the ball over more than our opponent once, and that was last night.

Aww, c'mon Chris.....don't let facts get in the way of a good story! You're a journalist, it's about time you start acting like it!

Joey's 8 turnovers are a statistical abberation....if he had his customary 2 or so then VCU has less...but whatever...I think he had a decent overall game...the TOs are problematic but I have to believe it had to be his highest total this year..maybe for his career?

ZING!

i like the full court "pressure"....you have to realize there are various levels of pressure... the objective IMO is to take 6-12 seconds off the 35 sec shot clock. To disrupt the flow of the opponents offecsive set...the staff studies opponents sets and tendencies the defense is designed to disrupt it...i prefer the up tempo as opposed to the blame taylor approach of 1/2 court take the air out of the ball defense....

could have been 10-18 without it for that matter. your comment is typical...i stated my preference for up tempo you like 1/2 court defense....good for you....tiresome you are .... try some new schtick sometime....

You may call yourself Major Ram, but among other things, you are exhibiting a minor sense of humor.
