Mo's NFL measurements and VCU transfer news

Ram fans are wondering if Mo Alie-Cox COULD...GO...ALL...THE...WAY in his journey from VCU hooper to NFL football player. Today he took a huge step in that direction, working out in front of what CBS' Lane Casadonte counted as north of 20 NFL teams at the Sports Reality Performance facility in Mechanicsville.

According to Casadonte representatives from all of the following teams were present for the workout: Bears, Lions, Dolphins, Vikings, 49ers, Browns, Patriots, Redskins, Chiefs, Steelers, Chargers, Ravens, Giants, Rams, Eagles, Falcons, Colts, Panthers, Raiders, Titans, Packers and Jets.

Friend of VCU, Pepe Silvia, had a source on the ground feeding him measurements on Alie-Cox's workout.

Those numbers are a great start to Mo's NFL journey, comparing quite favorably to two the combine measurables of current NFL star TEs Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski.

Alie-Cox was technically draft eligible during last year's NFL draft, meaning he is no longer draft eligible but instead an NFL free agent and thus, immediately eligible to sign with an NFL team.

TWO HIGH-LEVEL TRANSFER TARGETS PLAN VISITS

Two transfer targets with connections to the area will take visits to VCU within the next two weeks. Rice sophomore Marcus Evans (19 ppg) will visit his former head coach Mike Rhoades this weekend. Evans is a Chesapeake native and has narrowed his final list down to VCU, Miami and Arizona.

Richmond native Khris Lane went from Benedictine High to Drexel University in 2013 before spending his last two years in Farmville with the Longwood Lancers. Lane is an incredibly efficient scorer who posted 17.1 points per contest last season and will take a VCU visit next week. The 6'6 245 big man would be immediately eligible next season.
