The Tournament 2023

Sure we lost, but it could be worse... We could be Red Scare (Dayton) the #1 seed losing to India Rising, the #8 seed, on our home court 🤣

I know interest in the TBT is probably minimal at this point, but here's a couple of notable things. First off, the Red Scare (Dayton alumni team featuring Scoochie Smith) got upset by India Rising, a team of Indian-American players in what is being considered the biggest upset in the history of the TBT. One of their players is actually an orthopedic surgeon who only plays basketball part-time.

Also, this guy was on the team who beat us, but I can't help but root for him.

Sideline Cancer just got sidelined by Herd That in a blowout. The 4th quarter wasn’t as close as the final score.

73-64

The Elam ending thing. I like it. I think the NBA should adopt it.
The NBA already uses it on an experimental basis in the All-Star Game and in the G League.

In the All-Star Game, the fourth quarter is completely untimed and the target score is the leading team's score plus 24 (chosen to honor Kobe Bryant).

In the G League, overtime is untimed and the first team to score 7 or more points wins.

Also, the CEBL (the Canadian league that Treveon Graham plays in) also uses the Elam Ending under the same rules as the TBT, but the target score is the leading team's score plus 9.

High Schools should use that 4th qtr no clock option...it'd shorten blowouts.

Herd That is on to the semifinals.
Where they will face off against Heartfire coached by LaPhonso Ellis.... and the team features former VCU Ram & RamNation Member.... Justin Tuoyo, Former VCU recruit Tevin Mack, and former UMass power forward Raphiael Putney.

Should be a good game.
