The Official Beat the South Florida Bulls in Tampa in the NIT Thread

I still believe it's based on seeding. Years ago, schools had to bid for NIT home games as they progressed through the bracket. The NIT also didn't publish brackets back then either. If you won, you had no idea who your next opponent was until it was announced prior to the next game. That was also before the NCAA took over the NIT.

In the 2022 NIT, Virginia was the implied 6 seed and St Bonaventure was the implied 5 seed - yet when they met in the quarterfinals, Virginia was the host. So I think the unseeded teams truly are, well, unseeded.

Ah, life is cruel, and I may not be able to see the game tomorrow night.

I know folks occasionally mention a way to see the game afterwards online....but I've never needed to pay attention.

Any suggestions?

Our friend Mistachill posts them on YouTube as well, sans commercials

USF is a #5 seed in our section of the bracket and VCU is a #8 seed. If VCU wins this game, they will have to travel to either #2 seed Utah or #3 seed Iowa. Winner of that game then goes to the Final Four at Hinkle Fieldhouse at Butler for the final two games.

Can you provide a link to an official NIT website where you can see all these seed numbers actually listed beside all the team names referenced above?
