How are you feeling right now about the team and program?

Being sensitive about people responding to your posts on a sports message board is interesting. It's also interesting someone concerned about "feelings" responded by hurling insults and thinks challenging someone's perspective is an "unprovoked attack."

But moving forward, if I respond to any of your posts in the future and will do so with the utmost sensitivity and only use terms of affirmation and positivity. I will make a point of only using endearing language that will provide a conciliatory atmosphere where we can all come together as one and bond together in unison to support each other's feelings.

My charge is to become a beacon of hope and a shining example that we should consider all opinions to be valid, we should honor all posts, and participation trophies should be celebrated.

p.s. none of this applies to DL! :D
Harmony! You are a great person to value other's opinions. My post could never be factually substantiated, and I knew that when I posted it. I hope in your head you filled in the blank with GREAT or something to that affect.

Much Love Brother RAM!

Feeling great about the season this year. Had the German stayed longer than two days Rams would have easily made the big dance and possibly had a 2+ game run there. Patrick leaving was a huge difference in having a good year (which Rams had) and an above expectations year (which would have been very achievable). Hoping like heck the portal is kind to VCU and the holes are filled for run next year. Until then keep playing hard and enjoy the NIT run however far it goes.

GO RAMS!
Agree. Big unexpected loss, particularly during stretch when Bam and Bairstow were out.

Actually, it has only happened 4 times in the history of VCU basketball, counting this season. Below are the other seasons it has happened.

1988 - NIT - VCU lost to UConn in the quarterfinals after beating Marshall and Southern Miss. Head Coach - Mike Polio.
2010 - CBI - VCU won the CBI, beating GW, College of Charleston, Boston University and then Saint Louis twice. Head coach - Shaka Smart.
2011 - NCAA Tournament - VCU reached the Final Four after beating USC, Georgetown, Purdue, Florida State and Kansas before losing to Butler. Head Coach - Shaka Smart.
What happened in that UConn game? I saw it mentioned on Twitter this week that there was some shady chit involved.

Coach Smart has his place in VCU Basketball history, but our history of postseason success is relatively light as outlined above. I have given up on it at this point, but if we did have a successful coach come along and stay for a decade plus they are not going to be in anyone else's shadow. You get the benefit of coaching at a program that has a history of basketball success and there still being the possibility of being the most successful coach of all time if you hang around long enough to do it.

I can tell the time in the clink is really giving you time to reflect.
Yes, I connected with one of the lifer OGs on the yard and he's been schooling me to become the person he wishes he had the opportunity to become. I'm now drinking herbal teas, burning incense, meditating three times a day.

I have now realized the errors of my ways and learned that crazy posts are just opportunity for an outpouring of empathy and compassion. A nugget of profound enlightenment can be found no matter how ridiculous the post is. This is not just a sports forum, it's a forum of humanity.

Let's all join hands and embrace our feelings!

That's four MistaShade. Sarcasm becomes you! Try to stay positive.

Anthony Grant was about to leave after his first season at VCU. He was all set to take the Florida job, but Billy Donovan had a change of heart about going to the NBA at that time, so Grant stayed at VCU.
I remember that.... and seeing how hes done in the NBA, kinda wish Billy Donovan woulda stayed in college at Florida.
