The guy that owned the Biograph taught my History of Motion Pictures class. He truly knew his stuff and made what would have been a good class, great. One of the most enjoyable classes I took outside my majors.

I took both semesters of that course. I still notice things (techniques, themes) in movies that I attribute to that class.

Early to mid 70s loved the Up Top Sub Shop that was across the street from Lee-Art. Had the best subs.

I remember that as well. That was back when Grace streets “reputation” was very different. Along with the “folks” who used to “walk the streets” in front of City Parking and Garage right around the corner on Broad.

Mike Jones was the prof. of History of cinema, I was told that was the best class at VCU to take, awesome class

I actually feel good if this continues to drag out. If Reid was going to Wake, then I would think it would happen sooner. But that’s just my personal feeling/take on this.
