VCU Freshmen
Games/minutes played & Offense/Defense/Total Win Share for all VCU freshmen going back to 95/96
I started compiling this during Ace’s Freshman season because I was curious how he compared to other great rookies. Win share isn’t a perfect stat, but it’s position neutral and goes back to the 95/96 season (CBB Reference doesn’t have BPM stats until the 10/11 season).
Fun way to look back and remember some of the dudes that have come through the program and how they fared their first season. Updated every few weeks. Enjoy!

VCU Freshmen Stat Tracker
Checking in our two Freshmen (Belle & Fats) with OOC play wrapped up. Opportunity for both will likely continue to diminish with Bamisile and Bairstow back, but to this point both have been very productive. Out of 98 VCU Freshmen since the 95/96 season, Belle and Fats already rank 49th & 50th in total Win Share (WS), respectively. What jumps out to me is Fats's Defensive WS; the offensive potential is obvious when you watch Fats play, but his good defense has gone a little under the radar. Look forward to seeing these guys learn and progress this season.
