Edit: Game video/audio has been fixed! 12/30

I know VCU athletics has a lot of stuff going on. But our main sport at the university is men's basketball. We are 10 games into the season......2 away and 1 at home were produced outside of VCU. But our in-house production....7 games, has to be the worst production in the entirety of the US!! Any casual fan who turns on this game will turn it off after about 1 minute and do something else. The audio and the levels are just god awful. There have to be D3 programs whose video production (as far as the audio) is better than ours.
Perhaps the fix needed is too costly. But the video production (audio specifically) is a pure joke. Any causal viewer in Richmond or Philly will turn this game off.....they will have turned off all our home produced games! It's an embarrassment.
And while the audio/radio production is first rate, I doubt anyone but the hard core fan is going to be able to find the audio. Yeah, you can get it through the VCU website and through the varsity network, the casual fan will not go that route. And our app seems to be dead. We/VCU advertise the game as being on 910 The Fan. But if you go to 910 the fan (streaming) through Audacy......910 does NOT stream the game!!!!! Does 910 the fan broadcast the game over the air in Richmond? How many people listen to over the air broadcasts these days. WTF, does VCU advertise the game on 910 when they don't stream even it (or over the air?). Again, just another reason for the causal fans NOT to listen to or watch VCU basketball!!!!
It's like we tell fans, we have a great team play.....if you can't get to the game, you want watch it on TV with perhaps the worst production in the US. And hey, if you want to listen to the game, we are going to send you on a treasure hunt trying to find the audio/radio feed. This is not just bad, it is terrible. It's like a clown show!
