OFF TOPIC!

I guess this is what that recruit meant by exciting things going on at Toledo.

Anyone remember? That was the game where one of our players was on the line, he made a free throw, but the ref said he blew the whistle while the ball was in the air and did not count it. Then after a timeout, he made one and missed the second. We lost by one. Hmmm....

Do we get our win back and our record adjusted?

my god that is a lot of $$$$ bet on a mid mid-major....are you serious? i guess i am naive in these matters but I could not imagine plunking down $20k on a Toledo game! wow

I'm still mad about that game, 2007 was a great year, 28-7, but we lost some games we should not have. that was one.

I tried to.check out the box score from that game but the stats page is down on the VCU site. I guess I can go to Toledo's site.

Its a great scam if you do it right. A mid-major who still has regular lines in Vegas will be 'below the radar' and is a perfect candidate to conduct a point shaving scandal. It could have been effective for exactly the reason you inadvertently stated in your post--who would be there to catch on AND take it seriously?
