I agree he needs all four years. I do not agree he needs to back people down. That’s isn’t happening at his size and body type in the NBA. Frankly, I dont see a team needing or wanting that from a 6’6/6’7 guy.Great seeing his development but he needs all 4 years to be an NBA first rounder. Midrange and 3 J need to be consistent, as well as ability to play back to basket, backing down defender. He can learn a lot from Bairstow, and he will. But he has what you can’t teach: world class athleticism.
What he needs are a few moves around the basket so that he can get around guys quickly and finish, he needs to focus on his D guarding positions 2-5 and in a pinch the 5. He also needs to work on becoming an elite rebounder.
If he does that he makes the league for a number of years. Else, he is back in the BBL making 50-75k per year over the course of his career.
