The VCU Rams held off a late surge from the Saint Louis Billikens to secure a hard-fought victory on Tuesday night. The Rams shot a solid 49.1% from the field and connected on 12 of their 26 three-point attempts, while the Billikens struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 34.8% from three.

VCU marked its highest scoring game of the season with 95 points led by a stellar performance from Joe Bamisile, who scored 27 points while shooting 5-9 from 3, and 8-9 from the FT line. Max Shulga put up 26 points with 6 rebounds.

The Rams outrebounded the Billikens 39-24, with Tobi Lawal highlighting that defensive effort, grabbing 10 rebounds in his 25 minutes of play.

VCU have won 9 of their last 10 games, and currently sit at 4th in the Atlantic 10, a position they'd like to stay in, as the top four teams in the Atlantic 10 will receive a bye in the league tournament.

This win improves VCU's record to 17-8 (9-3). The Rams will travel to Amherst to face the UMass Minutemen on Tuesday (2/20) at 7:00 PM on CBSSN.
