The Rams started out rocky as they turned the ball over on the first three possessions. But the Patriots were only able to build a 4-0 cushion before the Rams found their groove on their home court.
At the 15:23 mark in the first half, Jalen DeLoach dunked the ball to break a 7-7 tie. The Rams wouldn't relinquish the lead for the remainder of the night.
While neither team protected the ball very well, VCU faired slightly better with only 17 on the night compared to GMU's 19.
