The VCU Rams (13-8, 5-3 A-10) saw their five-game winning streak snapped by the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (13-7, 4-4 A-10) on Tuesday night at the Reilly Center. The Rams were led by Max Shulga, who scored a game-high 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-9 from the three-point line. The Bonnies had four players in double figures, with Daryl Banks III leading the way with 15 points off the bench.
The Rams shot 39.6% from the field and 37.9% from the three-point line, but they got outrebounded by the Bonnies 39-27 and gave up 18 points off 14 turnovers. Shulga was the lone bright spot for the Rams, scoring a career-high 25 points and matching his career-high with four assists. Zeb Jackson added 11 points and six rebounds, while Bamisile chipped in 13 points off the bench.
