VCU put on a great show on both sides of the ball besting the Panthers 94-44. The Rams held VUU to just 10 points in the first half while they put up 48 at the break.

Defense still proves to be a strength for VCU as the Rams forced 22 turnovers.

The fresh court wasn't the only thing new at The Stu Thursday night. Ram fans got to see some fresh faces in the line up. Incoming Freshman Melvin Johnson got 9 points in his first outing as a Ram. Also making his debut was Justin Tuoyo who was impressive in the paint despite just scoring 5 points.

It was the upperclassmen who led the way for VCU. Senior Troy Daniels dropped in 19, 15 of those being from downtown. Fellow Senior Darius Theus helped out with 8 assists on the night.

A bulked up Juvonte Reddic did his usual work, helping out in the win with 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The Rams officially kick off the season Friday November 9th against FLorida Gulf Coast.
