Treveon Graham erased 39 minutes and 58.9 seconds of ugly basketball with one of the most beautiful shots in VCU history, as the junior's deep three with 1.1 seconds to play lifted the 14th-ranked Rams over No.25 UVA, 59-56 in Charlottesville.

The Rams battled the Wahoos in an old-fashioned rock fight that saw 48 total fouls on the evening. VCU struggled at the line, hitting just 6-of-15 free throws versus 19 makes by UVA on their 33 attempts, but held the Cavaliers to just 39.1% shooting on the night and 1-of-8 from 3-point range.

Graham not only hit the game winner but carried VCU the majority of the night, posting a game-high 22 points  in the win.

Despite leading the majority of the first half, VCU went into the lockers down 26-24. The Rams reclaimed the lead with two made 3-pointers early in the second, but saw UVA go on a run with 10 minutes to play, extending their lead to their largest of the night at seven with seven minutes to play.

A Juvonte Reddic put-back dunk followed by a Jordan Burgess 3-pointer cut the lead to one with 2:21 to play, then Treveon Graham reclaimed the lead for VCU with a made floater at the 1:21 mark. Briante Weber had a chance to extend that lead with 27 seconds to play but missed the front end of a 1-and-1. UVA's Malcolm Brogdon followed that up by getting to the line himself, missing his first free throw before tying the game on his second. With just under 10 seconds to play, VCU inbounded the ball and gave Rob Brandenberg a drive or kick option. When UVA closed off Brandenberg, he found Graham who then launched an NBA-range dagger to give the Rams the dramatic win.

VCU (2-0) returns to the Stu to take on Winthrop this Saturday at 7PM, then head to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off the following week.
