VCU won their fourth in a row as well as their fourth-straight victory over ODU, defeating the Monarchs 69-48 this afternoon in front of a record 40th-straight sold out Siegel Center contest.

The Rams and Monarchs played a tight game early but eventually the press wore VCU's old rival down, as the black went on a 17-2 run to break the game completely open in what had otherwise been a well contested battle. ODU hit 46.9% of their shots in the first half but were held to just 25% from the floor to finish the game.

Juvonte Reddic had eight in that second half run and scored a game-high 24 points on the night to go with a game-high 12 rebounds as well. Reddic was 12-16 from the field following a EKU win in which he saw just four attempts. He added four blocks and two steals for VCU.

Treveon Graham was the Rams only other double-digit scorer, posting 13 points  while dishing a game-high five assists for VCU.

Freshman JeQuan Lewis continued his rise, hitting two of four three-pointers to total eight points in just 16 minutes while grabbing four rebounds and dishing two assists for  the Rams.

For the most part VCU struggled to hit shots on the night, surprisingly more so inside the paint, connecting on just 15 of 56 shots (just under 27%) outside of Reddic's contribution. The Rams did shoot well from deep however, hitting seven of 16 attempts in the win. VCU dominated the glass, grabbing 50 rebounds to ODU's 35 and forced 21 Monarch turnovers in the win.

VCU heads to Northern Iowa next to take on a Panthers squad that nearly upset No.17 Iowa State Saturday. The Rams then return to the Stu to take on Wofford December 17.
