Bones Hyland - NBA Thread

VCU is (should be) his home base. We should be prone to choose to support the young man and give him the benefit of the doubt the established and clearly media-driven drivel narrative does not grant him.

I get it, these guys get paid big big money and they are in the public eye and should know that it comes with the territory. However, I would hate like heck to have a camera focused on me while I was doing my job and then have social media comment. I can hear it now.... "did you see how he treated that customer!!! His delivery is awful and no closing. He should be working at Burger King".

I’ve watched the NBA for quite a while now, and witnessing that darn near 7 foot tall chonky boi grab a rebound and effectively lead a fast break over and over again is one of the most bewildering and impressive things I’ve seen in sports.
Makes you wonder how many, if any, other bigs could have done that but were effectively shut down by their coaches.

Sadly, most people dont put themselves in those guys shoes.

Either way… GO HEAT!

Ha. The only man currently left in the playoffs that can possibly stop Denver at this point is a scorching hot Jayson Tatum.

Jokic will eat Miami alive (If they even get there).

Am I really gonna be a fan of the first team to be up 3-0 in a series and lose? I sure hope not but

I’ll be completely honest and say I was being petty and rooting against Denver, even though imo they’re one of the most fun teams to watch. That all changed once they got up against the Lakers lol. No way am I cheering for LAL. I can put my pettiness aside and say I hope Denver takes it all, whether they get the Heat or if Boston makes a miracle comeback.

After all the stuff went down with Bones (regardless of who was at fault) I stopped watching Denver. While I enjoyed seeing them play live last season & admit they are fun to watch.... only reason I'd wanna see them win is if Bones gets a ring.... and since they gotta vote on if Bones gets a ring (if they win)... and who knows how that'll go after all the $#!t that went down.... Idk if I wanna pull for them.

I darn sure am not gonna pull for Boston if they come back to beat my Heat..... so we'll see what happens.

I hope they do too. I totally get the pettiness and we all want what is best for Bones first and foremost.

However, most of us fell in love with this team over the past two years. Just really fun basketball with or without Bones. Guys like Jokic, Jeff Green, Ish Smith are quite the stories with fascinating NBA journeys. People are THAT fickle to turn and root against these guys after having watched them for so long? Mind boggling.

And of all teams, Miami?!?! My God. Next to LA, the biggest bandwagon team in the league. The lower bowl in Miami looks like one giant instagram influencer. What an icky franchise.

haha that’s just cause of the Lebron connection from almost a decade ago now. There are some real Heat fans out there like AA and myself.
