Former Recruits and Players

No he doesnt. True bigs dominated him. The Holmes from Dayton scored at will against JJ as did the center we met in the first round of the Dance in Albany. Had JJ but up even a mediocre effort, we likely win, injury to Ace or not.

JJ had is time at VCU and that time has past. Fermin is our guy and will grow tremendously this summer.

We need a good transfer in the post but JJ isn’t the guy.

Fermin>Deloach?

Yep and what did that get us? Yep our worst season in 20 years. JT was good for JT but not the team. We were horrible.

JT wasn’t a true post. We haven’t had a true post player since Javonte Reddic.
Hasan was a post player

Ferm's growth during the summer better consist of learning how to play without oven-mits on

its sad people feel free to criticize and berate a person they haven’t met. Fermin, is a really nice kid and all these negative comments do have some impact on his psyche.

In fact you should have seen his face light up when I told him that the majority of Ram fans were rooting for him and know that he is going to keep improving.

Further, we are supposed to be “Ramily”. I call and have always called BS on that one. Most of you dont give a darned about the program or the players. You just dont.

This was Fermin’s first year playing at the DI level. As a freshman the guy about 42 minutes. A little more than one game.

He demonstrated a lot of improvement in his last 3-4 games which is what we wanted to see. Why cant we give him a chance? Isn’t that the Ramily way or does that only work when the player is doing what fans like?

Ramily?
Phuck that…these players getting paid to produce on the court. Welcome to the new world of college basketball

And It is fair to criticize performance…whether you have met them or not

If you're a public figure and you're not Dolly Parton or Betty White, you're going to be in for some commentary.

On balance, Ferm did not play up to the program's expectations for a starter this season. I won't say he can't get there, nor will I say he was terrible, but I don't think there's an argument to be made that he met expectations this year. We need more from that position, either from growth on his part or a new center (ideally both).

Saying he needs to work on catching the ball in a humorous manner is really, really weak sauce to label as "criticism".

Holmes is an NBA prospect and CPOY averaged 20 points and 8 rebounds a game last year. Therefore he had his way with almost everyone he faced which seems like an incredible yard stick to measure DeLoach against. Fermin was DeLoach's backup and his worst nights were better than Fermin's best. Massive upgrade over what we just sat through. Not even close.

Trust and believe if Fermin can catch himself a better NIL deal at a higher level program he would be out of here just as quick as all the other players and coaches that leave us when something better comes along. Some of you all bleed black and gold, but all these players & coaches see now is green. Even a coach's contractual commitment is meaningless. "Ramily" may exist from some fans to the program and players. But that relationship is unidirectional and only flows one way.
