Players Kuany Kuany is a VCU Ram!

I was sitting at the game with Melvin. He loves Kuany. Heck, we all do. Kuany seems like such a good person. We like it when he drains those 3s and goes in for a slam. He added a nice move across the lane where he held it out like it might be a half hook but maneuvered it almost like a side finger roll from 5 or 6 feet out. He had the ball probably above the rim with his length off a hop.

Kuany Kuany, and David Shriver from last year, are prime examples of not giving up on shooters when they struggle early in the season. It can take a while to find your groove at a new place.

4 yrs at Cal, 6’9” Kuany shot 39% from the field, 29% from three. Pretty good on free throws (strangely). Low volume long distance (just 51 threes made in 4 yrs). Not a pretty/textbook release either. Not a “shooter.” Good kid, though (and fortunately on a heater of late).

Shriver was/is a shooter.

The eastern African nation of Kenya, Kuany's birthland, is famous for an endless string of long-distance runners, and at least one long-distance shooter.

Yes Kenya is famous for its long distance runners. Can either you or @Mistachill name the first great Kenyan long distance runner who appeared on ABC's Wide World of Sports back in the 70's without googling the name?
